Three Jaguars Headline PBC All-Conference Awards - Borbon Named Freshman of the Year, Moraes Named Second Team, Bascunana Honored with Elite 16 Award

AUGUSTA, GA. – Augusta University women's tennis team had two players named PBC All-Conference on Thursday afternoon on the eve of the PBC Championships. Claudia Borbon Roca was Freshman of the Year and to the All-Conference First Team.

Julia Moraes was named to the Second Team. Clara Bascunana deMiguel was awarded the prestigious Elite 16 Award for the conference.

The Elite 16 is presented at each of the PBC's 16 championships to the student-athlete who is competing in the PBC tournament with the highest cumulative GPA.
 
Flagler's Luisa Hrda was named the PBC Player of the Year. North Georgia's Kent Norsworthy was named Coach of the Year.

The 2022 Jaguars are ranked No. 42 in the nation and face Georgia College on Friday April 29 at 2:00pm in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament quarterfinal match in Columbus, Ga.
