CHALOTTE, NC – Augusta track senior
Hans Troyer broke the 10,000m school record in pouring rain at the Charlotte 49er Classic at the Charlotte-Irwin Belk T&F Center. While a select five distance runners were in Charlotte, most of the Augusta Track & Field program was in Anderson, S.C at the Trojan Opener.
"We took a handful of people up to Charlotte to get into some competitive 5ks and 10ks and it was well worth the trip despite the pouring rain," said head coach Jacob Burgamy. "Hans broke his own school record in the 10k & Avery, Carlos, Tripp, Hannah, Riley, Madison, and Patrick all ran personal bests in their events. Lots of positives to take away from this one. Thanks to Edinboro University for bringing a pacer and helping set up this 10k record attempt."
