AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University men's track & field placed 10 student-athletes on the 2025-26 Peach Belt Conference Men's Track & Field All-Academic Team, the league announced. Formerly known as the Team of Academic Distinction, the recognition highlights student-athletes who have achieved success both academically and athletically.
Augusta's honorees included Roberto Barrera Jaimes, Gabriel Best, Gabriel Carson, Michael Chatman, Elijah Corn, David Garcia, Andrew Helfers, Rajiariki Lewis, Michael Meriweather and Shahzeb Rashid.
In order to be eligible for the PBC All-Academic Team, student-athletes must meet the following requirements:
- Participate in at least half of their team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor
- Achieve a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale)
- Be at least a sophomore academically and athletically
Transfer students are immediately eligible once they meet the above requirements. The Peach Belt Conference sports communications professionals oversee the program.
