Kennedi Manning Named to PBC Team of Academic Distinction

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta's Kennedi Manning was selected to the Peach Belt Conference's Women's Basketball Team of Academic Distinction, presented by Barnes & Noble College, according to a release from conference officials. This marks the third time that Manning has received the distinction.
 
To be eligible, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility. The Peach Belt Conference Sports Information Directors oversee the program.
 
Manning, a senior forward from Stone Mountain, Georgia, is currently working towards her Master of Counseling Education at Augusta. She averaged 13.1 points per game and led the team in rebounds with 232 for the season (5.9 rebounds per game). While starting in 25 of the 28 games she played in, Manning led the Peach Belt Conference with 1.4 blocks per game. She had a career-high 28 points at Claflin on Dec 1 and a career-high 17 rebounds in the same game. She turned in 5 blocks vs USC Aiken on Feb 15. Manning was named PBC Second-Team All-Conference and helped lead Augusta to best record since 2016.
