LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Augusta University volleyball team was one of more than 1,333 teams honored by the USMC/AVCA with the Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 academic year.

The award, initiated in the 1992–93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.

The Jaguars finished 25-8 for the year. The squad won its first Peach Belt Conference regular-season title. The 2022 team went on to make its fifth NCAA Tournament appearance.

The AVCA, with its headquarters in Lexington, Ky., is managed by Associations International.
