INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Augusta University volleyball team is second in the latest 2024 NCAA Division II Volleyball Southeast Region rankings, which were released Wednesday afternoon.
This marks the first time this season the teams have been placed in rank order. The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections on Nov. 25.
The Southeast Region consists of volleyball programs from the South Atlantic Conference, Conference Carolinas, and the Peach Belt Conference.
Augusta holds a 17-6 overall record against Division II competition. The Jaguars are set to host Georgia College on Friday night in non-conference action before heading into the Peach Belt Conference early next week.
Each league in the Southeast Region will receive an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament while five at-large teams will comprise the eight-team Southeast Regional which will be held Dec. 5 – Dec. 8 at campus sites.
