Kennesaw, GA – The Augusta University women's track & field team competed in a Division I Don McGarey Invitational hosted by Kennesaw State University this past weekend. Augusta returns to Kennesaw on March 29 at the Kennesaw State Invitational.
In the 100m, event, Janiya Edwards finished 20
th with a time of 13.42. In the 400m,
Cheyenne Ryan finished her race in 1:06.46 for a 16th-place finish. In the 800m event,
Grace Gyetko was AU's only entry, finishing 24
th (2:31.40).
Four AU runners finished in the top 20 of the 1500m event, led by
Emily McBride.

Rebekah Klossner finished her 100m race in 20.93 while Janiyah England finished the 400m hurdles in 1:16.53.
Competing in her first 2000m steeplechase event,
Danielle Thayer finished tenth with a time of 8:23.73.
In the field events,
Madison Mills hit a 4.93m mark in the long jump while
Rebekah Klossner hit the 9.03m mark in the triple jump.
In the shot put, freshman Jada Williams placed 12
th overall, hitting the 11.38m mark.
Jozelyne Williams also had a 12th-place finish in the discus.
In the hammer throw, Jala finished 31
st overall and Joselyn finished 34
th. Ana Ayala Cosme finished q8th in the javelin (23.28m).
