AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University indoor track and field competed at three meets over the weekend of Feb. 13-14, sending athletes to the Crimson Open at Harvard's Gordon Track and Tennis Center in Cambridge, Mass., the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center, and the Tryon Mid-Winter Invitational at Tryon International in Mill Spring, N.C.
At the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational, Madison Thomas set a new Peach Belt Conference indoor record in the 5,000 meters, running 17:28.85.
Also in Boston, Augusta had two athletes compete in the mile, as freshman Caleigh Munro posted a time of 5:12.27, followed by freshman Josabeth Graciano in 5:13.31.
At the Crimson Open, Graciano led Augusta in the 800 meters with a time of 2:21.03, while Munro followed in 2:22.29.
At the Tryon Mid-Winter Invitational, Augusta recorded several strong performances across the track and field events. Junior Cheyenne Ryan finished fifth in the 600 meters with a time of 1:45.27, while freshman Anna Biondolillo placed 13th in 1:59.43.
In the 400 meters, junior Kennedy McDonald led the Jaguars with a 15th-place finish in 1:01.71, and freshman Meadow Roberts finished in 1:05.04.
Freshman Devan Howard placed 14th in the mile with a time of 6:04.80, followed by freshman Carlee Hodges in 16th at 6:10.64.
In the distance events, junior Swaye Mohler finished ninth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 11:13.27. In another 3,000-meter section, freshman Amelia Ogden ran 10:52.82, sophomore Maria Biondolillo finished in 11:01.16, and sophomore Danielle Thayer posted a time of 11:04.13. Freshman Lily McDonald added a seventh-place finish in the 5,000 meters, crossing the line in 19:36.45.
In the field events, freshman Taneiha Bowman led Augusta in the long jump with a mark of 5.31 meters (17-5.25). Sophomore Rebekah Klossner recorded a jump of 4.79 meters (15-8.75), while freshman Leilani Stallings posted a mark of 4.75 meters (15-7). Bowman also placed 10th in the triple jump with a mark of 10.83 meters (35-6.5).
In the high jump, freshmen Paige Justice and Jamiya Reed each cleared 1.45 meters (4-9).
Augusta's throws group was led by sophomore Jala Williams, who recorded a mark of 11.08 meters (36-4.25) in the shot put. Freshman Keeva Tracey posted a throw of 10.12 meters (33-2.5), while freshman Kayla Marshall added a mark of 7.92 meters (26-0).
Augusta continues its indoor season at the 2026 Peach Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship on Feb. 23 at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center in Gainesville, Fla.
