Augusta baseball players Mike Morrison and Parker Ingram are honored by the Peach Belt Conference

Ingram and Morrison Pick Up Post Season Peach Belt Conference Baseball Honors

Augusta, Ga.- The Peach Belt Conference has released their post season honors and Augusta third baseman Parker Ingram has been named first team All-Conference and catcher Mike Morrison has been named second team All-Conference. 

Ingram, a senior from Gray, Ga., hit .319 this season with a team leading 15 home runs and 53 RBI. He had an OPS of 1.048 and a slugging percentage of .660. His home run total was third best in the Peach Belt Conference this season. Ingram also had a hit in 37 of the 46 games he played in including 20 multi hit games. He also added seven stolen bases to his resume. 

Morrison, a senior from Salem, Va,, led the team with a .342 batting average, which was also 14th best in the conference. Morrison had an .879 ops and a slugging percentage of .457. He drove in 33 runs on the year and put together a 30 game hit streak over the course of the season. He also collected a hit in 43 of the 49 games he played in. Despite having nearly 200 at bats, he struck out just 28 times and was a constant at, or near the top of the Jaguar lineup. 

The Augusta duo will lead the Jaguars in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament as they take on North Georgia Friday, May 2 at 11 a.m.
