Bo Blanchard II and Zoe Pinillos Named Georgia’s Own Student-Athletes of the Month

AUGUSTA, Ga. Bo Blanchard II from Augusta University men's golf and Zoe Pinillos from Augusta University women's golf have been named the Georgia's Own Student-Athletes of the Month for April. The Georgia's Own Student-Athlete of the Month Award honors one male and one female Augusta University student-athlete from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.Zoe Pinillos - Female Athlete of the Month

Zoe Pinillos – Women's Golf

Pinillos, a sophomore from Trujillo, La Libertad, Peru, won the 2025 Southland Conference Women's Golf Championship, shooting rounds of 70-72-72 to finish at 2-under par and claim medalist honors by two shots. Her win secured a spot in the NCAA Norman Oklahoma Regional, where she will compete May 5–7 as one of six individuals. Earlier in April, she competed at the Liz Murphey Collegiate, finishing 52nd. Following her conference title, Pinillos was named Southland Conference Golfer of the Year and earned First Team All-Conference recognition. She helped lead Augusta to a fourth-place team finish at the Southland Conference Championship.

Bo Blanchard II – Men's Golf

Blanchard II, a redshirt junior from Columbus, Ga, claimed medalist honors at the 2025 Southland Conference Men's Golf Championship, finishing at 16-under par and winning by four strokes. His performance led Augusta to its third straight conference title and an automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals. Earlier in April, he tied for 14th at The Ford Collegiate and placed 25th at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational. Blanchard was named the Southland Conference Golfer of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, and earned First Team All-Conference honors for his efforts. The team will compete at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional Championship May 12-14.
