AUGUSTA, Ga. – Georgia College & State University defeated the Augusta State Jaguars 19-5 on Sunday afternoon in the final game of the three-game Peach Belt Conference series. The Jaguars took the series from the Bobcats 2-1.
With the win, GCSU improved to 18-5 overall and 4-2 in the PBC, while the loss dropped Augusta State to 11-13 overall and 5-4 in the PBC.
Senior Casey Hanrahan led the Jags offensively with three hits, while freshman Jeff Rice contributed two hits.
Junior Pat Lowe suffered the loss against the Bobcats, while GCSU's Mike Guinane took the win, allowing five runs in seven innings of work.
The Jaguars are back in action Tuesday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. for a non conference match up against Valdosta State at Jaguar Field.
