AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University baseball student-athletes Aidan Cannaday, Jakob Cowart, and Kent Moon have been named to the 2026 Academic All-District® Baseball Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
The Academic All-District® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance in the classroom and on the field. Honorees are selected from NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA institutions. Cannaday, Cowart, and Moon represent Augusta on the NCAA Division II list.
Cannaday, a senior outfielder from Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, earned Academic All-District® recognition.
Cowart, a sophomore outfielder from Alpharetta, Georgia, was also named to the Academic All-District® Team.
Moon, a sophomore infielder/outfielder from Athens, Georgia, rounded out Augusta's selections.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® recipients will be announced later this summer.
To qualify for Academic All-District® honors, student-athletes must be at least sophomores academically and athletically, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and meet sport-specific participation requirements.
