FLORENCE, S.C. – Jaguar Softball sophomore Paige Deschaine was named second-team Peach Belt All-Conference on Thursday night at a banquet in Florence, S.C., on the eve of the PBC Championships at Francis Marion.

The Jaguars (22-33, 9-13 PBC) are coming off a 2-0 extra-inning win at Lander, highlighted by Paige Deschaine's 10 strikeouts. Deschaine ended the regular season ranked third with 240 strikeouts and was sixth best for ERA in the league at 2.15. She recorded 12 double-figure strikeout performances – highlighted by her career-high 16 in her complete game win against Georgia Southwestern on April 6th.

While holding batters to a .197 average on the year, Deschaine leads GRU in ERA, wins (12), innings pitched (179), and strikeouts while making 27 starts. The 2014 softball All-Conference team is listed below as selected by the league's head coaches.  Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.
