AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University softball has added Madison Massaro to its staff as an assistant coach.

Massaro comes to Augusta after spending two seasons on the coaching staff at Roosevelt University. She joined the Lakers as a graduate assistant for the 2024 season and helped the program finish third in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference while mentoring five All-Conference selections.

Following her first season, Massaro was promoted to assistant coach in July 2024. She assisted with practice planning, opponent scouting, recruiting, game preparation and the program's daily operations. Massaro also helped guide Roosevelt through its transition from the NAIA to NCAA Division II and mentored six All-Conference selections during her two seasons with the program.

A native of Romeoville, Illinois, Massaro began her collegiate playing career at Robert Morris University Illinois. She earned Second-Team All-CCAC honors as a freshman in 2019 after batting .242 with four RBIs.

Massaro later transferred to the University of St. Francis (Ill.), where she batted .317 over three seasons. As a senior, she earned Second-Team All-Conference honors and was named to the CCAC Gold Glove Team as a catcher.

Massaro graduated with a degree in Recreation and Sport Management before pursuing her Master of Business Administration while coaching at Roosevelt.
