AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University softball student-athletes Ansley Gibson, Payton Terrell, and Madalyn Spinks have been named to the 2026 Academic All-District® Softball Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

The Academic All-District® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance in the classroom and on the field. Honorees are selected from NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA institutions. Gibson, Terrell, and Spinks represent Augusta on the NCAA Division II list.

Gibson, a senior pitcher and second baseman from Evans, Georgia, was one of three Jaguars recognized on the Academic All-District® Team. A versatile contributor, she has made an impact both in the circle and at the plate during her Augusta career.

Terrell, a sophomore pitcher from Bremen, Georgia, also earned Academic All-District® honors. The left-hander has been a key member of Augusta's pitching staff while excelling in the classroom.

Spinks, a junior pitcher from Social Circle, Georgia, rounded out Augusta's selections. She has been a steady presence in the circle for the Jaguars and was recognized for her accomplishments both academically and athletically.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® recipients will be announced later this summer.

To qualify for Academic All-District® honors, student-athletes must be at least sophomores academically and athletically, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and meet sport-specific participation requirements.
