Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BELMONT, N.C. --  The Augusta University softball team extended its win streak to seven with a 3-2 victory over Belmont Abbey in game one before falling 8-9 in game 2 of the day. Augusta improves to 9-3 while Belmont Abbey moves to 3-3 for the year.

• Grace Bridges and Paige Patterson both went 2-for-4 in the contest.
• A Bailey Roberts single opened scoring for AU, driving Bridges to home.
• A Lauren Evens double to left center field pushed the score to 2-0 in the opening inning.
• Belmont Abbey scored twice in the fourth inning, but a SAC bunt Lauren Slade scored Jessica Costain and pushed Augusta to a 3-2 victory.
• In the circle, Alissa Bolinger (5-1) allowed four hits for two runs. The junior standout walked one, while striking out twelve batters. She threw all seven innings.

• A double from Lauren Evens gave Augusta a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Belmont Abbey would answer with a with a run single in the bottom of the inning.
• The Crusaders would tack on three more runs in the third inning before adding another in the sixth inning.
• Bailee Roberts singled for a score and Bobbi Poff doubled for two runs in the fifth inning to shrink the Crusader lead to 7-5. The home team would add two more runs off a single up the middle in the sixth inning.
• A three RBI homer from Lauren Evens brought Augusta within one in the final inning, but Augusta would fall 8-9.
• Lauren Slade led Augusta, going 4-for-4 with 3 runs. Lauren Evens was 2-for-4 with 1 run and 5 RBI.
• Ansley Gibson started on the mound before being replaced by Hannah Turner and Hayden Pearson.
