Box Score Augusta, Ga – Augusta baseball's Parker Ingram homered and drove in two runs Sunday afternoon in a 10-4 loss to Kentucky Wesleyan. The Jaguars are now 1-7, while the Panthers improve to 3-0 on the year.
Kentucky Wesleyan scored two runs in the opening inning, but the Jaguars responded with one of their own. Nolan Turner, who had a pair of hits and two RBIs, singled and came around to score on an Ingram sacrifice fly.
After the Panthers scored one in the top of the third, Augusta plated a pair of runs. Mike Morrison singled to lead off the inning, and Roland Chance walked. Then, with one out, Turner delivered a two-run single to left, making it a 3-3 ballgame.
In the sixth, Ingram hit his first homer of the year with a shot to right field off the scoreboard. The Jaguars were unable to plate another run.
Augusta will next host Francis Marion on Tuesday afternoon, with first pitch scheduled for 4:00 p.m
