AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta picked up a pair of wins over Emmanuel on Tuesday, taking game one 7-1 before completing the sweep with an 8-0 victory in game two.

Game One

The Jaguars set the tone early, scoring four runs in the first inning and never looking back.

Chesney Miles and Eden Parker opened the frame with back-to-back hits before Augusta capitalized on an Emmanuel error and a pair of RBI opportunities. Payton Terrell delivered the big swing with a two-run single to highlight the inning.

Augusta added insurance in the fifth and sixth innings, including RBI contributions from Sydney Gilbert and Grace Bailey.

Gilbert finished 2-for-2 with two RBI, while Bailey and Parker each collected two hits. Kaylynn Scaffe also drove in a pair and scored twice in the win.

In the circle, Terrell (1-1) earned the win, allowing just one run—unearned—over five innings while striking out two. Parker closed out the final two innings to secure the victory.

Game Two

Augusta carried its momentum into game two, using a five-run third inning to break things open and secure a run-rule victory.

After a solo home run from Kaylynn Scaffe in the second inning gave the Jaguars an early lead, Augusta erupted in the third. Eden Parker drove in two runs with a single before Victoria Oropeza cleared the bases with a three-run triple.

Scaffe led the offense with a perfect 3-for-3 performance, adding a home run and three runs scored. Oropeza finished with four RBI, while Parker added two of her own.

In the circle, Rylan Music tossed a complete-game shutout, allowing just four hits over five innings while striking out one to earn her first win of the season.

The Jaguars returns to conference play this weekend, hosting Columbus State Cougars softball for a three-game series. The Jaguars will open the series Friday at 5 p.m., followed by a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
