Caleb Jatko pitched six solid innings and
Mattheson Go hit a two-run homer as Augusta knocked off Columbus St. 5-4 Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Jaguars are now 12-15 in Peach Belt Conference action and 18-26 overall. The Cougars are 18-9 in the conference and 27-16 overall.
Jatko went six innings and allowed just three runs with three strikeouts. He collected his fifth win of the year.
At the plate,
Harris Bachelder started the scoring with a RBI double that plated
Landon Leonard.
Go would then hit his home run in the second that plated
Carter Morris.Â
Kent Moon woud collect a RBI double in the third plating the fourth AU run of the game.Â
Then in the sixth,
Nolan Turner picked up a RBI on a fielder's choice.Â
Patrick Matsunaga came on in relief in the seventh for the Jaguars and pitched the final three innings for the save. Matsunaga collected five strikeouts while giving up one run.
Augusta will return to Jaguar Field for a three game series with Flager starting Friday, April 24 at 6 p.m.Â
