Augusta, Ga. - For the eighth time in program history the Augusta volleyball team made the NCAA Tournament and went into the Southeast Region as the No. 6 seed. It also marked the fifth straight year the Jags made the tournament.
AU also collected several individual honors with
Giulia Rodrigues being named Peach Belt Conference Libero/Defensive specialist of the year.
Sofiia Snitsarevych was named conference freshman of the year with
Layne Witherspoon and
Lauren Nelson being named first-team All Peach Belt Conference.
Augusta finished the year with a 25-9 record and were Peach Belt Conference co-champions with a 12-3 league mark.
Witherspoon also earned AVCA All-America honorable mention and five players were named to the conference all-academic team.
