AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University baseball team has been selected seventh in the PBC Preseason Poll, as announced by the league office. Senior
Koby Ayala has been named to the PBC Preseason All-Conference Team.
Georgia Southwestern was tabbed to finish first while Columbus State and USC Aiken were voted to finish second and third respectively. Augusta is coming off a 26-win season, their best since 2016. In addition to Ayala, the Jags return
Kyle Lodise, last season's PBC Freshman of the Year, and a number of experienced upperclassmen.

- A senior from Lilburn, Ga.
- Started in 47 of 48 games for the Jaguars, leading the team in hitting with a .355 average
- Ranked fourth in the PBC in batting average, he had seven doubles, one home run and 34 RBIs
- A PBC Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholar and named to the PBC Team of Academic Distinction
The Jaguars open the season Friday, Feb. 2 when they host West Georgia at 4 p.m.
