The 2026 Augusta University Baseball Schedule is Set

Augusta, Ga. - The college baseball season is just around the corner and the 47 game, Augusta Unviersity schedule is now set. The season will begin Jan. 30 with the Peach Belt Conference tournament slated for the first week in May.

Once again, the Jaguars open the season against Saint Leo, this time at Jaguar Field. The two teams will play a three game series starting Jan. 30. It's always a tough test right out of the gate, but one that AU Coach Chris Howell is looking forward to.

"Saint Leo provided a great opening day experience last year down in Florida. We appreciate Coach Josh Keim for returning the trip," said Howell.

Augusta starts with eight non-conference games and following the home series, they'll travel to West Alabama where they'll take on the host institution as well as Albany State.

Other non-conference games include midweek home-and-home games with Shorter, Belmont Abbey, Erskine, Southern Wesleyan, Emmanuel University and Anderson.

"We are excited about the 2026 schedule. Look forward to playing some new teams earlier in the year along with different home-and-home mid-week games," added Howell.

Peach Belt Conference plays starts Feb. 13 with a trip to Orangeburg, S.C. where the Jags will square off with Claflin. A week later, they'll be in Bluffton, S.C. as they take on USC Beaufort.

The first home conference series will be against Georgia Southwestern in late February and will be followed by another home series, this time against Lander in early March.

Another highlight of the schedule will be what has become a yearly match up with rival USC Aiken, with SRP Park, the home of the Augusta GreenJackets playing host. That game is slated for March 25 at 6:35.

This year also marks the first season Middle Georgia is part of the conference and Augusta will travel to Cochran, Ga. in mid-March for their initial three game series with the conference newcomer.

The PBC regular season concludes in late April as the Jags will host Flagler.

Howell knows there are no easy games in the Peach Belt Conference.

"The PBC schedule is full with top tier competition and going to be a tough schedule throughout the year," said Howell.
