AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University softball team has been named the recipient of the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Softball Team Sportsmanship Award, the league office announced this week.
Established in 2008, the Peach Belt Conference Sportsmanship Award is presented following each championship season to the team that best exemplifies the spirit of sportsmanship and conducts themselves with integrity, character, and class. Voting is conducted by other teams in the sport. At the conclusion of the academic year, the institution with the highest cumulative points will be awarded the PBC Institution of the Year Sportsmanship Award.
"We're honored to be recognized for our efforts to remain positive and professional in all our dealings," said Augusta head coach Melissa Brocato. "We don't get it right every time, but we genuinely place a high value on being good sports no matter the situation."
The Jaguars wrapped up their 2025 season with a strong emphasis on character and leadership, earning the respect of their peers across the conference.
