Gibson Named NFCA All-Region Utility Player

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University's Ansley Gibson has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Southeast All-Region First Team, earning recognition as one of the top utility players in the region following a standout 2025 campaign.

Gibson's selection to the First Team highlights her all-around impact on the field. At the plate, she posted a .339 batting average with 39 hits, 8 doubles, and 22 RBIs, consistently delivering in key moments for the Jaguars throughout the season.

In the circle, Gibson led the pitching staff with 140.1 innings pitched across 30 appearances and 17 starts. She compiled an 11-9 record, a 2.94 ERA, and 77 strikeouts while limiting opponents to a .273 batting average. She also recorded three complete games and one save.

This marks Gibson's first career NFCA All-Region honor and adds to her growing list of accolades. Earlier this season, she was named First Team All-Peach Belt Conference for her performance as a utility player.

The NFCA All-Region awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's eight regions with first- and second-team recognition. Student-athletes are nominated by NFCA member head coaches and selected by member coaches in each respective region.
